Yu Yuphoria: Unlocking Bootloader and Rooting Guide

Method to ROOT YU Yuphoria

NOTE: We do not hold any responsibilty if you screw up your device, we can only recommend you to follow the steps sincerely.

First of all, I would like you all to download the files, extract it in a folder, required to root your YUphoria so you don’t get any interruptions during the process.

Root and ADB files for Yu Yuphoria

Below is a video to take you through the whole process and the steps below the video as well:

> Go to Developer Options(enable it by tapping the build number 7-10 times)>enable advanced reboot and USB Debugging.

> Reboot to bootloader.

> Now open the folder where you have extracted the downloaded files and extract ADB&Fastboot(rar) file on your desktop.

> Open the YUphoria Root Files Folder and copy the DoomLordYUphoriaCWMHacked.img in the ADB&Fastboot folder.

> Now copy the ‘UPDATE-SuperSU-v2.46″ in your SD Card.

> Open the codes file, from which codes are to be entered. And now, open the ADB&Fastboot folder and while holding shift, right click on an empty space. Click on “open command prompt window here”.

> Now enter the following codes as guided:


“fastboot -i 0x2A96 devices” and press enter.

“fastboot -i 0x2A96 oem unlock” and press enter

“fastboot -i 0x2A96 reboot” and press enter.

-Now your device will reboot. Go to settings and check if the ‘advanced reboot’ and ‘USB Debugging’ options are still enabled. And reboot to bootloader again.

> Open ADB&Fastboot Folder and right click while holding shift and click “open command prompt window here”. And enter the following codes:

FOR ROOTING Yu Yuphoria:

“fastboot -i 0x2A96 devices” and press enter.

“fastboot -i 0x2A96 boot DooMLoRD-YUPHORIA-Hacked_CWM-v1.img” and press enter.

-This will hotboot a custom recovery on your device(temporarily).

> Then, using your recovery, navigate to the sd card where you copied the “UPDATE-SuperSU-v2.46” file and flash it. Go back into the main menu and reboot.

>Look for the SuperSU app and install “Root Checker” app to verify if your device is rooted.

And if you’re worried about your warranty you can unroot the device later by following the below steps:

TO UNROOT Yu Yuphoria:

> Simply, open the SuperSU app and click on the Settings tab and scroll way down to Cleanup section under which is an option “Full unroot” and then click continue. It will unroot your device completely.
