As soon as Xiaomi launched it’s Redmi 3 in China, it’s Chinese competitor has come-up with a budget smartphone, Coolpad Note 3 Lite, a predecessor of Coolpad Note 3. The Note 3 Lite is basically a 5inch version of Note 3 with similar specs.
Note 3 Lite is priced at Rs 6,999, making it as the cheapest smartphone to boast a fingerprint scanner. Coolpad claims that the fingerprint scanner can unlock the device under 0.5 seconds. The device is Made in India and will be an Amazon Exclusive.

The Note 3 Lite runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop with Coolpad’s Cool UI 6.0 on top of it. It has a 720p 5-inch IPS display. Under the hood, it’s powered by a quad-core Mediatek MT6735 SoC coupled at 1.3GHz each. The device has 3GB of RAM and a fingerprint scanner at the back, under the camera module.
The Coolpad Note 3 Lite has a 13MP rear camera with an f/2.0 aperture, it has a 5MP front camera. Note 3 Lite is a dual-SIM 4G device which runs on 2500 mAh non-removable battery.
It has 16GB storage on-board and it’s expandable upto 64GB using microsd card.
The device is up for Registrations on Amazon and will go on sale from 28th January.
